Horrible Situations Infused With Love

So often I hear “everything happens for a reason” coming out of the mouths of well-meaning people. When I found myself in the midst of deep pain and unimaginable fear, I asked God why He said that. For the first time I earnestly dove into His word to learn and to hear from Him. You know what? He never said that!
Really bad things can happen to good people. I don’t have to look far to see so much suffering in the lives of people I dearly love and the strangers I see homeless and on the streets. God most certainly is not the author of anything evil. What I have found to be true over the course of my life, is that God will indeed take every bad thing and work it together for good when we accept His Love, love Him and follow Him with our whole hearts. He takes horrible situations and infuses them with His Love. His love gives strength, courage, and hope. He is ever so gentle, ever so protective, an extravagant provider, and truly is the love every human heart seeks.
Father, when I am afraid, when I am frustrated, when I feel alone, when I feel hopeless, You are always there! Thank you for your love! Thank You that You truly have taken every seemingly insurmountable pain in my life and provided goodness and love both through it and coming out of it. Thank You for exchanging hopelessness for Hope. Thank You for transforming chaos and fear into godly wisdom. Thank You, that on the other side of life‘s great challenges You have proven over and over again that You take those scenarios and indeed use them for good. Oh, how I love You!
Be good to your servant, God; be as good as your Word. Train me in good common sense; I’m thoroughly committed to living your way. Before I learned to answer you, I wandered all over the place, but now I’m in step with your Word. You are good, and the source of good; train me in your goodness. The godless spread lies about me, but I focus my attention on what you are saying; They’re bland as a bucket of lard, while I dance to the tune of your revelation. My troubles turned out all for the best—they forced me to learn from your textbook. Truth from your mouth means more to me than striking it rich in a gold mine. Psalm 119: 65-72
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28
