One Kiss & I was Forever Changed

One Kiss and I was forever changed.
I'm a hugger. I love touch. I hug kids, dogs and humans as much as I can. I love to be genuinely hugged back. It seems like in todays world the air kiss-kiss on the cheek while mumbling behind someone's back has become completely acceptable. There's nothing better than a genuine hug unless of course it was accompanied by a kiss. Think about it... a parent, sibling, friend, spouse, pastor or lover... hugs and kisses are a powerful and healing connection.
The idea of a “kiss” in Scripture is so much deeper than the simple affection —it’s full of meaning. Back in biblical times, a kiss wasn’t casual; it represented connection, belonging, even covenant. It was a way of saying, you are known, you are welcomed, you are loved, you are mine.
So when the Bride in Song of Solomon says, “Kiss me with the kisses of your mouth,” it’s not about a passing moment. It’s a heartfelt longing for real closeness—for a deep, soul-level intimacy that changes you. The kind of love that draws you in, holds you fully, and leaves you transformed. Not cleaned up and fixed up. Utterly transformed.
She’s not looking for more information about God—she wants to truly know Him. She's beyond accepting Him, she wants to truly know His Heart and for Him to know hers. Not just in her mind, but in her heart and her spirit. She longs to encounter His presence in a way that stays with her, that marks her deeply and with profound love, leaving her soul forever changed.
All throughout Scripture, the mouth means so much more than just words—it’s tied to breath, spirit, and life itself. So this kind of longing isn’t just emotional… it’s deeply spiritual. It’s a desire to be touched by Him—by His Word, His Spirit, His very breath.
Jesus said that His words are spirit and life, which means His “kisses” are alive. They carry truth, power, and love straight into the soul, reaching places nothing else can and gently bringing us to life, healing us from the inside out.
I believe that the deepest yearning of every human heart is to know you were created with love, by Love Himself with a divine purpose and blueprint of destiny engraved within you. Not to just understand about Him, but to truly encounter Him. To receive His love in a way that goes beyond head knowledge… something personal, real, and deeply life-changing. It’s the kind of love you don’t just learn about—you feel it, you live in it, and it gently transforms you from the inside out. It's really so simple. There's no magical formula or religious prayer needed. In your space, in your way ask Him to show Himself to you. Ask Him to hug you, He is waiting for you. One Kiss and Everything Changes.
